Last year saw the club trial an all new initiative to get people into golf. After a few meetings early in the planning stages we didn't think we would have too much of a response, but to our surprise we had 18 people sign up to join the trial day in May last year.
The open day was a resounding success with 16 people signing up to the program. A year later we have 12 new members and the rest continuing to play on a less regular basis on the Warren course. This year we are going to run the open day and training program, once again.
On the 30th May we will have a Get into Golf trial day here at the club which is designed to help give prospective players a chance to see what it is all about and whether they would like to give it try.
The event starts at 1pm and if you know of anyone who may wish to join the day please let me know so I can gauge numbers. Also if there is anyone who may not be able to join us on the 30th May, but would still like to join the 5 week training program, please let me know and I can put them on the contact list.
