Welcome to this week's newletter, I have lots to tell you about in this week's edition. We have had some amazing days of sunshine over the last week and the courses have had a good dose of the suns rays. The works being undertaken are now nearing completion and we are now turning our attentions to the finer details of the two courses, to tidy them up ready for the return of golf on the 29th March. It is amazing, how in such a short space of time, the grassses are growing again so soon after the cold spell we had. Most of the greenkeepers are now on mowing duties to keep up with the beginning of the growing season and by gum the grass is taking off already. Two of my staff are now helping the cause doing the divoting whilst Jake and I plough through the enquiries and the setup of this year's events and competitons. It is set to be a very busy year indeed, let's just hope for kinder weather in 2021 and the occasional rain in the evenings to keep the courses tip top. Enjoy the read and don't forget to take your free gift away. |
As some of you may be aware, I have been looking for a new Head Professional to start in 2021 and I am happy to announce the appointment of Nick Warwick PGA to the role. Nick has a wealth of experience in the golf industry and has most recently been Head Pro at Lydd GC. Over the last 10 years Nick has worked at Cranbrook, Rye, Boughton and started his PGA journey here at Littlestone in 2006. Nick is a local lad and lives with his young family a stones throw away from the club and his addition to the team, I am sure, will compliment and enhance the current services and support we give to our members and guests. Nick is being tasked with helping to develop our junior academy being re branded in 2021 and in the general overseeing of proshop operations going into another busy year at Littlestone. He starts with us on the 1st April and is very much looking forward to meeting you all. Nick may be contacted in due course via his club email, which is:- nick@littlestonegolfclub.org.uk. Welcome to the Proshop team Nick. |
