Well, as we move into a new year, a select few have had a very lucky start to the year indeed, myself included. My first time as a winner and I am thrilled to be taking home a nice little cheque to start the year.

Karl Morris Seminar

A great evenings learning

Many thanks to all of you who attended the evening with Karl and of course apologies to anyone who signed up and couldn't access the seminar. I personally took a lot out of it and revisted some concepts I had forgotten about when I did my own training seven years ago. The one thing that stood out for me was the idea of the ANCHOR point. I used to struggle with accepting bad shots in tournaments and concentrated on them for far too long afterwards. I found a technique that helped me a lot, was the band technique. I always played with an elastic band on my wrist. If I hit a bad shot I would snap the band against my wrist three times and my focus was drawn away from the bad shot to the sharp snap of the band on my wrist. It really worked for me, so why not give it a try if your a golfer who dwells on those inevitable bad shots.

The Coaches Forum

Callaway 2021

You may well have seen all the hype around the all new Callaway products and now the product embargo has been lifted I am able to talk about them. The new driver line up has been widely marketed as the most stable and forgiving driver on the market in 2021 and to be honest alongside the PING G425 I have to agree. The tech in the head is space age and the forgiveness is superb. Our fitting equipment is delivered at the end of January so I will be doing a bit of a review for you all to watch in the studio. One to watch for sure.

Callaways second offering in the 2021 season, see's the return of the Apex range and having seen and hit in these, I can certainly see these being one of our best sellers of 2021. They look amazing and feel just as good. I will of course be doing a review for you all when the fitting station arrives at the end of the month.

Custom fittings will be a premium when we return, if last year was anything to go by. Anyone wanting to get fitted on our return to golf, please get in touch below and I will ensure you have a fitting with myself or Mark all booked in.

Members Survey 2021

What do you want from your club?

In the coming weeks David and I will be putting a Members Survery together for you all to fill out. The purpose of this survey is to try and build further future plans on how we take the club forward after a difficult year in 2020. The questions will be wide rangeing and will hopefully give us areas where we need to concentrate on improving and building a better members experience.

So, at this point I open the floor to you, the membership, what should we be asking? What do you want to see at Littlestone in the coming years. Are you seeing spring bulbs?

I don't know about you but during this lockdown I have been spending a fair bit of time in the garden doing a few projects. I noticed this week that the bulbs are sprouting and are coming up already. It is the first sign of spring. You all know what spring brings, golf golf golf. It won't be long now folks before we head back to the links and enjoy the fresh sea air again.

Measure & conquer the course

A lot of things can go wrong in a golf shot and lots stem from the pre-shot routine. Figuring out how far it is to the hole, followed by which club to use, can be tricky.
