Welcome to this week’s newsletter, where I am writing from my balcony at home. Well, what a week this has been, with the guidelines changing by the minute, it has certainly been very difficult to keep up with all the changes that the country has had to deal with. It has been a week of change for everyone involved with the club, staff, members and guests. Here’s a small video for you to take a look at, detailing a few things we will be doing at the club, both in house and remotely. |
|
As detailed in the video, I will be looking to keep you all involved with the club via our Facebook page. I will be trying to make this as interactive as possible and any feedback you have will be greatly appreciated. This will be the first time I am delving into this kind of media, so bear with me as we learn together. Any ideas you have, which I can do remotely, please don’t hesitate to contact me here. There is a function within our Facebook business page that allows me to monitor top fans and there will be a prize at the end of each week for the top fan of the club page. So, get sharing and posting, you may win big! Our first live broadcast will be on Friday at 3:00pm and I will be a live question and answer on all things golf swing. If anyone has any special requests please email here.
If any of you have any questions golf-related you want answering in a small video, please email me your question here.

To all of you who miss the club banter, I’m setting up a WhatsApp group for members. If you would like to be involved, share photos, share what you're doing with your time at home, please contact me here and ask to join the WhatsApp group with your mobile number so I can sign you up. You will, of course, need the WhatsApp app on your smart device. Be great to welcome you to our little chats on all things golf and more. |
It’s a very tough time for the club, country and world. It is times like these that bring us together and make something even better than it was before. Littlestone, no matter how you see the club, needs you as a member, a guest or a member of staff, to dig deep and support your club. Now, this obviously means financially, by paying subs, throwing away your vouchers, supporting the Pro Shop and professional staff and the food and beverage departments in both clubhouses. It also means being a part of something bigger than just you. The thing that brings us to Littlestone isn’t anything more complicated than playing golf.
If current events teach us anything over the next few months, it is that we need to appreciate what we have at Littlestone. We have two wonderful golf courses filled with people who love the game and being a part of it. It’s simple really, enjoy your hobby, your friends and the fresh air, everything else just doesn’t matter. |
|
On behalf of the myself and the staff, I wanted to thank the board and the members for supporting your staff in these difficult times. I really appreciate it. Littlestone is special and it will continue to be so even when Covid 19 has ceased to be the threat it currently is. Enjoy your time off from golf and rest assured the course and I will be waiting to welcome you back to what is set to be a wonderful summer’s golf on the links of Littlestone. Stay safe friends. |
