Welcome to this week’s newsletter. After our visit from R&A officials on Tuesday, they were very impressed, as I am sure we all are, with how the course has recovered from the drought of the summer. Thanks to everyone for buying into the works programme we are running this winter; you may now have seen certain areas have now been roped off in an attempt to protect these areas and let them recover. Please avoid these areas and this includes the first tee roped off areas.
We are trying to let the verge between the tee and the pathway recover so can you please go around and don’t duck under the rope if possible. It’s all looking good and on schedule for our course works, and some of you are even now liking the mats. Just a quick thank you to all of you who were kind enough to attend the PGA Benevolent Fund Captains Day, at Princes Golf Club. We had a great day playing in 8 balls (yes in 8’s!). Playing in Foursomes’ Pairs, as an 8 ball, we had an amazing time playing the Dunes and Himalayas courses at Princes. Special thanks to my partner Jimmy who was instrumental in us picking up a prize, squeeze those arms in Jim! It really works. Here are a few photos of our trip earlier this week. |

Thanks for reading this week’s news and I look forward to seeing you all down at the Links very soon. |
Is it still too early to talk about it? |
We might be five weeks away from the big day itself, but it won’t be long before radio stations start playing Jingle Bells and this year’s John Lewis ad captures the nation’s attention. When it comes to Christmas shopping, we have a fantastic selection of stocking fillers available in the pro shop and even more ready to be purchased on our Click and Collect website. |
From headcovers to sweaters and even the old traditional gift of socks, you’ll be able to find exactly what you’re looking for through us. You might even spot something you want adding to your list of gifts this year! |
So, why not take some of the stress out of the chaotic high street shopping by doing yours with us? If you order by 2pm on Friday 20th December, we can guarantee it’ll be delivered to us in time for you to pick up before Christmas. |
