Hello Golfers,

Well what a difference a week makes, with a few heavy bursts of rain the rough has taken off in spectacular fashion. The courses are looking in fantastic condition and the fairways are recovering very nicely indeed.

This week I have been out with the Artisans on the Championship doing divoting. It was a great evening and I really enjoyed meeting the guys. Chatting with a few of the older members I learned a lot about the course I didn’t actually know. Have a look at some of the photos below, you can really see the definition of the fairways in the evening sunshine.

Get Into Golf

We will be running some beginner golf programmes in the coming months and anyone interested in getting a friend or family member into golf, please get in touch and we can let you know the dates and the format.

There will be two types of Get Into Golf programmes running, the first is the intensive learn the game in a day course and the second a weekly 1 hour session for four weeks. Just contact me to register your interest as places are limited in both sessions and are on a first come first served basis.

What A Difference

Well the shop has now been open for 8 months and I was looking through some old photos of the build and I came across a video I made of the pro shop this time last year. Take a look and see what a difference a year has made!!!

1 gap, 2 options

The term 'gapping' is commonly used to refer to the yardage distance between each of the wedges in your bag. We want to break this thought process and get you to think about gapping for your entire set, because any unequal gaps between clubs will have a detrimental impact on your game.

Gapping at the top end

One part of your set that needs careful consideration is how you transition from your irons into your woods. Lots of golfers struggle to hit their longer irons and instead opt for a replacement hybrid or a more forgiving option, which can lead to large gaps between clubs if you're not careful.

So, what's the solution? Well, take advantage of our services and professional advice, and we'll make sure you have the perfect club/s to fill any gaps at the top end of your bag.

What are your options?
